Story: I have been saving with National Bonds since 2012. I started saving about a year after I got my first job. I have always believed in saving. I have never been savvy enough about investing in the stock market. But I knew that National Bonds would be a safe and secure place to save my hard-earned money. One of the most important things about National Bonds that attracted me was that they are Sharia-compliant. When you are looking to ensure that your savings and investments are aligned with your spiritual beliefs, then you try to look for a place to save your money with that understands this and also works hard to keep your savings free from anything that would go against your beliefs. That is a major selling point for National Bonds. I save because I want to be able to accumulate about funds for my children’s higher education. My daughter, Noor, is four years old. And I also wish to save a bit for my own retirement so that I can live with dignity. I was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago. And I was successfully treated for it. And it made me understand the importance of savings for a rainy day. A rainy day can be one when you are surprised with an unexpected illness. Or when you lose your job (which also happened to be a few years ago). And I have learned that it is our savings that help us through those challenging times. Life has no guarantees. There are always ups and downs. And that is why it is so critical to find a partner who you trust with whom you can save with. For me, National Bonds has been that partner that I trust. And I have saved with National Bonds for almost a decade. That shows how much I believe in them.
