Story: When I was seven years old, my father lost his job. Me and my family were all, devastated. It was a huge shock to all of us after all. I noticed I was still able to buy anything I desired, without having to worry about money just like before, when my father had his job. I started to ask questions to my parents about how everything felt the same as before despite the huge shift in our lives. My dad then explained to me, it was all because of his saving funds and financial planning. He told me that he invested in National Bonds and National Bonds is Shari’a Compliant which not only made him prefer it but so did I, when I learnt about it. These days, whenever I save up to a valid amount with money I collect as Eidi, pocket money or birthday money, I put it into my National Bonds account. I have realized how lucky I am to have learnt a very important lesson that will help me for years to come, so early on in life.
